Born in Kuwait where she showed strong interest in painting and a big talent. She made her career debut in 1994 in Lebanon. In her CV, individual and collective expositions, in Lebanon and in many Middle Eastern cities. Lamya marked her start in the Lebanese art scene as an artist of passion looking to express herself in new ways whenever possible. Met Wajih Nahle in 1999, who has become her career godfather, and has acquired his mastery of colors, diversity of tools and freedom from conventional shapes; she continues to employ all that to express her unique subjects of feminism and mountain-landscape. Awarded for active social work several times and still holds socio-political responsibilities on a local.
